Pours as black as midnight with a fair head that dissipates pretty quickly. Aroma is of vanilla , oak, maple and coffee. Mouthfeel is pretty smooth, as for the taste there is quite a few flavors going on here, cocoa and coffee lead the way but there is also a nutty flavor followed by oak and slight vanilla, all of these flavors end with a that charred and roasted bitter that is expected from this style. The alcohol is present here for sure but with all of those flavors going on it works and at 10.2% ABV even a magician couldn't hide it completely. This is a fine Impereial Stout that gets our seal of approval. Rating 8.5 out of 10.
