Pours lighter than I imagined with a pretty small but typical pumpkin ale head, the nose is rather nice like grandma's house in the autumn, cinnamon, vanilla, sweet butterscotch, caramel, apple & nutmeg. To be honest I can't stop smelling it. The taste is along the same lines with cinnamon, brown sugar, a toffee or butterscotch flavor and of course pumpkin although occasionally it taste like apple pie. This ale has a nice malty sweetness to it but doesn't go overboard. This is a fun brew perfect for the Halloween season and be wary because it's a sneaky 8.6 % ABV. Rating of 8.3 out of 10 in the pumpkin ale category.
