Pours a very dark brown with a small tan head and no light shining through, aroma is of sweet dark chocolate, maple syrup and and and a little nutty. This beer is brewed with cocoa powder and cacao nibs are added to boot so it's safe to say that there's chocolate in this beer. The taste is of dark chocolate, coffee , with a big roasted quality and it's sweetness is not overdone. It also ends with a little bitter booze just to let you know it's got a pair. This is a bold Porter that could hold it's own against a stout, it's got that creamy mouthfeel that I enjoy and it's not overly carbonated. I really liked this brew and this is one you'll want to remember during the colder seasons. Rating 8.2 out of 10.
