Poured from a bottle this beer pours a slightly hazy amber with a solid head that leaves nice lacing. Aroma is outstanding and smells of citrus, slight tropical, pine and malt. I could tell by the aroma that I was going to enjoy this brew. As for the taste, the first thing I noticed is that the balance in this beer is impeccable. You get some citrus, a slight tropical element, a little earthy and the malt is spot on. As the beer warms the malt comes out a bit more. This beer hits that bitter spot on the back of your tongue but it doesn't dominate and take over like some others. I'm happy this brew made it's way north.
